As Rudenko told the press this Thursday, the Foreign Ministry and the presidential administration have been working jointly on both trips of the head of state for some time, as the two Asian states invited Putin on repeated occasions.
Last week, Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov announced that the Russian leader’s visit to the DPRK is in the process of preparation and assured that the trip’s dates will be announced in due time.
In September 2023, the leader of the DPRK, Kim Jong-un, paid a visit to Russia, during which he met with Putin at the Vostochny cosmodrome, in the Russian province of Amur, and visited several aeronautical plants and military facilities in the territory.
