The ministers hold their discussions in the context of the 13th meeting of the bloc on the subject and aim to reach a consensus on the joint promotion of travel and leisure attractions in their territories.
This is reportedly a timely opportunity for the tourism ministers of Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Bolivia to explore new ways to strengthen cooperation and integration within MERCOSUR.
The agenda also includes discussions on the 2024-2025 work plan, investments, the progress of the Natural Route Project, the Jesuit mission in South America, innovation and digitalization, and visitor facilities at land borders.
MERCOSUR was set up on March 26, 1991, through the Treaty of Asuncion to promote trade and investment opportunities and the competitive integration of national economies in the international market.
