The PCT said in a statement that the US policy of blackmailing third countries to refrain from developing business and trade with Cuba is an attack on sovereignty, especially of the nations and peoples of the Latin American and Caribbean region.
‘Decades of blockade have not been able to bend the capacity of resistance of the Cuban people, who heroically persist in following their sovereign path, legitimately decided with the triumph of the Revolution in 1959,’ it referred.
The political organization maintained that the courage of the Cuban people, along with their political leadership, well deserves the solidarity that all freedom, democracy and sovereignty-loving peoples have shown since the onset of the hostilities and conspiracies of imperialism against Cuba.
The organization stressed that a small nation like Cuba dared to choose its destiny by banishing imperialist vassalage from its territory.
‘That example is what the United States does not forgive when it accuses Cuba of being a terrorist, for which it cannot provide a single piece of evidence,’ the PCT pointed out.
It stated that, on the other hand, successive US administrations have led conspiracies and coups d’état against legitimate governments, setting up fascist regimes that have plunged dozens of peoples and countries into terror.
