Italian agency presents wide and innovative tourism offers to Cuba

Rome, May 29 (Prensa Latina) Tourism from Italy to Cuba shows growth possibilities given the offers promoted at an event by the Tour 2000 agency, one of many in Italy that promotes Cuba as a tourist destination.

During a presentation held on Tuesday at the Cuban embassy in Italy, Ambassador Mirta Granda recognized the sustained work of Tour 2000, which has promoted Cuba for 30 years: “There are many conditions that make the Cuban destination unique and unmatched,” the diplomat said, adding that “we can surely move forward, with the efforts of every one, together hand in hand, towards greater availability of travelers,” which will also enhance relations between both peoples.

The Embassy’s Tourism Counselor, Yanet Mora, referred to the particularities that make Cuba unique, which is the theme of the current promotional campaign and explained the potential and perspectives of tourism in Cuba, which offers its visitors its nature, its culture, and the charm of its people.

In statements to Prensa Latina, Mora highlighted that there is a new awakening, an increase in interest in traveling to Cuba, with a rise in possibilities for Italians who visit Cuba, which is historically one of their favorite destinations. She also expressed that the genuine love of tour operators for Cuba makes the difference.

Stefano Sebastiani, representative of Air China in Italy, explained that since May 17th, 2024, the possibility was opened for Italians to book their trips to Cuba on aircraft of China’s flagship airline, departing from Rome and Milan on two weekly flights.

Bruno Normanno, commercial director of Tour 2000, and Anna Segneri, manager for Cuba destination, spoke during the event about their positive experiences and current projections before a large group of representatives of tour operating agencies and other Italian specialists in the sector.

The specialists referred to the three decades offer to travelers with an infrastructure in both Italy and Cuba that guarantees the best quality of service and a wide range of tourist packages at reasonable prices.

Segneri detailed the particularities of the proposals to destinations such as Havana, Viñales, Cienfuegos, Trinidad, Santa Clara, Camagüey, Santiago de Cuba, Baracoa and Cayo Santamaría, among many others that are currently available to Italian tourists.
