Described as one of the notable events related to Russian language teaching, the attendants participated in roundtable discussions, seminars, lectures, magisterial classes, creative meetings, and presentations of new projects and research.
The organizers stated that more than 6,000 applications were received from cultural figures, representatives of authorities, public and private organizations, writers, poets, and publicists from all continents.
During the sessions, Tamara Skok, Director of the Department of Innovative Linguistic Projects at TV BRICS, held a practical workshop entitled “Linguistic teleconferences of the TV BRICS International Media Network as a way to develop interest in the Russian language among foreign students.”
The Forum was established in memory of its founder, first rector, and president of the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute, Vitaly Kostomarov, and is dedicated to his pedagogical and scientific legacy.
The event is held under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization). Since 2023, it has been held with the support of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
