In the message, published this Tuesday on the official website of the Russian presidency, the head of state said that ties with Azerbaijan can be classified as ties between allies.

Putin wrote to Aliyev that Azerbaijan enjoys well-deserved authority on the world stage and actively contributes to solving important issues on the international agenda, just as it has achieved recognized successes in socio-economic development.

The president expressed his confidence that Moscow and Baku will continue to increase fruitful bilateral cooperation in all areas and coordinate their efforts on regional issues, which responds to the interests of friendly countries.

Finally, Putin referred to security and stability strengthening in the South Caucasus and the Caspian Sea.
