According to the report, the alleged criminals, who operated wearing military uniforms, had a network of informants who provided them with information on the itinerary of trailers they robbed.

In recent months, the Nigerian government ordered the Army, law enforcement and security agencies to step up raids on criminal formations and individuals in Rivers State and other districts to stop a spate of robberies, assaults and other acts of violence conspiring against the citizens’ peace.
