López Obrador augura elecciones limpias, libres y pacíficas en México
Ciudad de México, 29 may (Prensa Latina) El presidente de México, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, auguró hoy que las elecciones del próximo domingo serán limpias, libres y sobre todo pacíficas.
‘Ese es mi pronóstico, eso es lo que yo sostengo y, además, estamos trabajando con ese propósito con los gobiernos estatales y con el INE (Instituto Nacional Electoral), para que todos juntos logremos que el pueblo se manifieste libremente y que vote sin ningún temor’, afirmó.
‘Que el voto sea verdaderamente libre, secreto, individual, y que se dé un ejemplo de democracia’, expresó el gobernante en el inicio de su habitual conferencia de prensa desde el Palacio Nacional, al señalar que sus adversarios, los conservadores, apostaron a que iba a haber violencia.
Apostaron a eso y afortunadamente no ha sido así, aseveró López Obrador, quien agregó que también ayuda mucho el que la gente ya no quiere ‘esa historia negra de fraudes electorales, cuando se robaban hasta la Presidencia de la República, como nos consta’.
En su opinión, ahora se está inaugurando una etapa nueva, de una auténtica y verdadera democracia. ‘La democracia no es una fachada que sirve para que detrás opere una mafia de poder, una oligarquía, que eran los que se sentían los dueños de México.
Ya estamos en otros tiempos, tenemos que celebrarlo.
Ahora es el pueblo el que manda y esa es la democracia’, enfatizó.

Según encuestas, la candidata oficialista Claudia Sheinbaum, de la coalición Sigamos haciendo historia, aventaja por un margen superior a los 20 puntos a su más cercana contendiente, Xóchitl Gálvez, de la alianza derechista de los partidos Acción Nacional, Revolucionario Institucional y Revolución Democrática.
