Welcomed by Barbuda’s Governor Gen. Rodney Lawrence Williams, Valdes Mesa expressed the Cuban Government’s willingness to move forward in joint projects that contribute to the environmental and social benefit.
According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry (MINREX)’s official website, Valdes Mesa thanked Antigua and Barbuda for its support in several regional and international forums for the demand for the lifting of the U.S. blockade imposed on Cuba.
Meanwhile, Williams thanked Valdes Mesa for his presence in his country and acknowledged the work of the Cuban collaborators.
He also highlighted Cuba’s relations with the Caribbean nations and, in particular, the links of cooperation in human resources training, medical assistance, prevention of natural disasters and support for recovery ahead of the complex climatological events.
