Relations between both parties have moved from “partnership” to a “strategic cooperative relationship”, which later turned into a “strategic partnership,” said the Chinese diplomat at a press conference about the tenth ministerial meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum.
Deng recalled that at the first China-Arab States Summit held in 2022, it was agreed to build a community with a shared future in the new era, bringing mutual ties to a new stage of comprehensive and deep development.
“With the joint efforts of both sides, strategic mutual trust has been deepened, practical cooperation brings tangible benefits to the two peoples, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges have been further enriched,” Deng asserted.
He highlighted the importance of boosting China-Arab ties to promote peace and development in the Middle East. Also, he pointed out that China and the Arab countries are important members of the developing world and shoulder the common historical mission of accelerating national development.
“China will continue to work with Arab States in a spirit of friendship, firmly supporting each other on issues concerning each other’s core interests and major concerns, advancing cooperation in various fields within the context of the Belt and Road Initiative,” Deng said.
