“Mexico reiterates the importance of complying with the norms of international humanitarian law, calls for a ceasefire and compliance with the measures dictated by the International Court of Justice, to allow a political settlement and the entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza”, he expressed through his foreign ministry.

However, the United Nations, non-government organizations and numerous countries criticized the attack on that overpopulated area and warned of the serious humanitarian consequences.
According to the UN, more than 800 thousand Palestinians fled Rafah after the start on May 6 of the Israeli army’s ground offensive against the city and its neighboring border crossing, which for the last seven months represented the only gateway to Gaza of food, medicine and fuel.
