“For Belarus, Nicaragua is a reliable friend and an important partner for Latin America. It is important to keep and strengthen ties to jointly face global challenges and threats, as well as to contribute to building a multipolar and just world order,” Lukashenko said in his congratulation message.
Lukashenko stressed that interaction between the two countries, based on trust and respect, is reaching a qualitatively new level.
The head of state also expressed confidence that the agreements reached during his official visit to Managua back in April 2024 laid a solid foundation for more fruitful cooperation and will give impetus to the existing potential in economic, humanitarian and other areas of common interest.
The two countries also cooperate in supporting candidates for elections to UN bodies and other international organizations.
