Mahamat, in a message on his social network account X, said that “the State of Israel continues to violate international law with impunity and disregard an ICJ (International Court of Justice) ruling two days ago that ordered an end to its military action in Rafah”.
The ICJ order must be implemented urgently if global order is to prevail. #Ceasefire now,” the post concluded.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the attack but noted that the target was a hidden Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) security compound in the Tel Sultan area. According to the IDF, Yassin Rabia, commander of the so-called Hamas headquarters in the West Bank, and Khaled Najjar, another senior Hamas official, were killed as a result of the bombing.
Israeli media revealed that the army used at least seven bombs weighing one ton each.
