According to the Investigation Committee, the aircraft followed its planned route and did not deviate, and the pilot kept radio contact with the other two helicopters accompanying the president’s.
The results confirmed the absence of impacts, bullets or otherwise, on the aircraft, which burst into flames upon hitting a mountain.
Neither were there any suspicious communications between the helicopter crew and flight control.
The search and rescue operations prolonged until 05:00 am on Monday due to the hard terrain, thick fog and low temperatures.
The Iranian General Staff reported that the crash site was located using drones, after which rescue teams arrived at the site.
The report detailed that a great amount of documents and proof related to the accident were compiled, “but their detailed analysis will require more time.”
