The agreement was reached by Pak In Chol, speaker of the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly, and Grigori Rapota, member of the International Affairs Committee of the Russian Federation Council and head of the Russia-Korea parliamentary friendship group.
Rapota paid a courtesy call on Pak at the Mansudae Congress Palace as part of a five-day stay in DPRK, leading a delegation that, according to earlier announcements, will discuss with their hosts issues related to parliamentary exchanges and others of common interest.
Present at the meeting were Ri Chol, director of the Institute of Medical Sciences of the Ministry of Public Health and chairman of the Korea-Russia parliamentary friendship group, and Russian Ambassador to Korea Alexandr Matsegora, ACNC said.
Relations between the two countries, including the exchange of delegations, have been strengthened following the summit between top DPRK leader Kim Jong Un and President Vladimir Putin in September last year.
