For the completion of these works, the Department of Social Prosperity (DPS) allocated 87,785 million pesos (over US$ 23 million), which were invested in the construction of 26 urban roads, six rural roads and 14 housing improvement plans.
Funds were also earmarked for a market place and another amount for two social infrastructure projects, consisting of a Youth Development Center and sports facilities for an educational institution.
The DPS Director Gustavo Bolívar stated these works are not only physical structures, but represent the commitment from each citizen to transform the most vulnerable territories and provide opportunities for growth, wellbeing and integral development.
