Caribbean nations set to possible impact of tropical wave

Saint George's, May 24 (Prensa Latina) Grenada, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and other Caribbean nations are getting ready for minimizing damages before a possible impact of a tropical wave, which should affect the region during this weekend.

Grenada’s meteorological service is keeping a close watch on the development of the weather system, as it could bring pelting rain to different areas of its territory.

Plus, it will issue frequent updates and will coordinate with local authorities whether it is advisable to proceed to evacuate vulnerable communities.

However, the electric company called on population to take the necessary precautions, stock up with emergency products and secure their properties, because the cyclonic season officially starts next June 1st.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines, on the other hand, warned its nationals about the heavy rainfall during the weekend and suggested to be prepared to avoid material damages.
