In a congratulatory message to the China-GCC Countries Forum on Industrial and Investment Cooperation held in Xiamen, east China’s Fujian Province, the president also called for promoting unity and seeking cooperation between the two sides.
The friendly exchanges between China and the GCC countries have a longstanding history, spanning over a millennium, Xi wrote. He recalled the successful bilateral Summit in 2022 which opened new prospects for deepening cooperation.
Deepening industrial and investment cooperation between China and the GCC countries is conducive to better synergizing the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) with the development strategies, visions, and plans of the GCC countries, tapping into complementary advantages and fostering new growth engines, he said.
Themed “Embracing the Future: Advancing High-Quality Industrial and Investment Cooperation between China and GCC Countries,” the forum opened this Thursday and is co-hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission and the People’s Government of Fujian Province.
