The spokesman told reporters that the Battlegroup Southern forces occupied the territory of Kleshevka due to the active actions on that operation line.

The group also attacked personnel and equipment from the 33rd mechanized brigade, 79th airborne assault brigade, and 116th ground defense brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Georgievka, Ostrogo, and Konstantinovka in Donetsk, Konashenkov pointed out.

The Ukrainian side in the group’s area of responsibility lost more than 365 soldiers, two armored combat vehicles, one D-20 howitzer, one D-30 howitzer, one US M119, and one British L-119 gun.

The military spokesman also informed that the units of the Central Battlegroup improved their position along the frontline and attacked forces from the 24th and 100th mechanized brigades, the 68th hunter brigade, and the 71st infantry brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Semenovka, Sokol, Novgorodsky and Karlovka.
