In an interview to commemorate the 73rd anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries, the Pakistani president also recalled the historical ties that have united the two nations.

He also ratified that Pakistan will always support China in safeguarding its core interests.

On the development of the Gwadar port, a starting point of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Zardari referred to the work done since the cooperation project was launched 11 years ago.

He also affirmed that the port project is open to new investors from all regions worldwide.

Finally, the president hailed the achievements reached by the Chinese people and acknowledged that ensuring policy continuity is one of the essential reasons for China’s success.
