According to a Prensa Latina’s press release, the Cuban diplomat acknowledged the Iranian leader’s contribution to the development and strengthening of ties of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
Likewise, Leon expressed solidarity with the Government and the people of the Islamic Republic, extended to the families and friends of the deceased ‘whom we accompany in these difficult moments with the conviction that Iran will recover and move forward.’
