In order to guarantee that an important part of the people have feasible access to basic food, measures like the distribution of processed food to the most vulnerable sectors are being implemented.
Better planning in distribution has led to results that, although they do not fully meet all the needs of the people, they do provide relief at a time of temporary contingency.
Radio Cadena Agramonte’s website reported that Municipal People’s Power Assembly President Dixami Rodriguez ‘explained that at the community and Popular Council levels, they have managed provide the population with about 4,000 food rations through mobile sales and with great acceptance.’
The publication added that ‘Rodriguez stressed that the initiative, approved by the local People’s Power Assembly, together with the so-called Empresa Municipal Restaurantes y Centros de Recreación (EMURE) and the Business Group of Commerce, has had a favorable impact.’
Meanwhile, in the recreational area, the infrastructure made up of several institutions and organizations attached to the Cuban Ministry of Culture has made it possible for brigades of artists to liven up several communities.
