The Foreign Ministry pointed out that for some time the United States ignores China’s just position and constructive role in the Ukraine crisis, indiscriminately imposed illegal unilateral sanctions on various Chinese entities based on relations with Russia, and engaged in unilateral intimidation and economic coercion.
At the same time, Washington continues to sell arms to the Taiwan region of China, seriously violating the one-China principle and the provisions of the three China-U.S. joint statements, gravely interfering in China’s internal affairs and seriously damaging national sovereignty and integrity, the ministry added in its statement.
The Foreign Ministry announced that, under Articles 3, 4, 5, 6, 6, 9, and 15 of the PRC Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law, it was decided to take countermeasures against U.S. military-industrial enterprises and senior U.S. officials.
Among the sanctioned companies are the well-known Lockheed Martin, Javelin Joint Venture, Raytheon Missile Systems, General Dynamics, and others, whose movable, immovable, and other properties have already been frozen.
