In statements to State Television, the spokesman emphasized that First Vice President will assume the functions of the president according to the law and with the approval of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
Mokhber highlighted the continuity of President Raisi’s legacy without interruption during an extraordinary session with the heads of the judiciary and legislative branches and assured the Supreme Leader of the Revolution and Iranians that he would spare no effort in continuing to serve the people.
The Chief Justice of Iran, Mohseni Ejei, and the Speaker of the Parliament of Iran, Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, emphasized the need for the government’s members to cooperate with Mokhber to continue serving the country.
Mohamed Mokhber was appointed as Vice President by the late Raisi on August 8th, 2021.
