The Chinese Foreign Ministry noted that the parties discussed the expansion of ties in industry, especially mining, transportation, energy, and agriculture, and reviewed leading regional and international issues.

They paid great attention to strengthening multilateral cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations, especially the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the Central Asia-China model.

According to the Foreign Ministry, Wang said Beijing actively supports the four major development strategies (energy, transportation, agriculture, and industrialization) proposed by President Rahmon.

The foreign minister stated that China grants great importance to Tajikistan’s cooperation needs and is committed to expanding cooperation in emerging industries to boost economic development.

He added that Beijing is ready to enhance security cooperation with Dushanbe and fight all forms of terrorism.

President Emomali Rahmon, in turn, stressed that China is one of Tajikistan’s most significant partners in trade, economy, and investment.
