In a statement, the solidarity group described Cuba’s inclusion on that list as an injustice and an arbitrary and unfounded measure.

It noted that Washington’s decision has been criticized by numerous governments, political, religious and mass organizations in many countries around the world.

The association pointed out that Cuba does not sponsor terrorism, but has been a victim of it, including state terrorism, for more than 60 years.

It stressed that Cuba supports the fight for peace and against terrorism of all kinds, and has played an unquestionable role in the Colombian peace process.

Cuba’s cooperation has demonstrated to be selfless, supportive and respectful of the countries’ sovereignty, the Sri Lankan organization noted.

Therefore, it stressed that it joins the international condemnation of the injustice against Cuba and the support for the Cuban Foreign Ministry’s Declaration on the matter.

It also reiterated his demand that the United States remove Cuba, once and for all, from the ignominious list.
