In a message on X, the head of the medical brigade, Daniel Posada, noted that the Washington’s list is arbitrary, and Cuba’s inclusion is unfair.
Recently, the Foreign Ministry (MINREX) charged that the list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism is intended to slander Cuba and serves as a pretext for the adoption of coercive economic measures.
In a statement, the MINREX called on the United States to remove Cuba from that designation and assured that it is not enough to just recognize that the country cooperates fully with anti-terrorist efforts.
The MINREX pointed out that there is a global demand, loud and repeated, for the United States Government to correct this injustice.
It noted that the United States also knows the extraordinary damage caused to Cuba’s economy by the measures, actions and the intimidating effect that are automatically unleashed on any State that is mentioned on that list, regardless of what the truth is.
US President Joe Biden has all the prerogatives to act honestly and do the right thing, the statement said.
