Among the activities for this Thursday is a panel of experts with Cuban professor Pablo Guadarrama about the relationship between José Martí and philosophy at the Stella Forero Auditorium in Bogotá.
Other researchers on the life of the Cuban hero will also be present, such as renowned Colombian writer José Luis Díaz-Granados, who will talk about his poetry and Héctor Arenas will discuss the relevance of his thought.
Experts Ligia Machado and Josué de Quesada will also attend the event. They will present other facets of the illustrious intellectual.
To commemorate Marti’s life and work, a historical site will be inaugurated at the Cuban Embassy in Bogotá on May 19, the date of the death of the Cuban independence fighter in 1895.
The Cuban National Hero and the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, a faithful follower of his teachings, will be honored at that site.
