China and Pakistan boost bilateral relations

Beijing, May 16 (Prensa Latina) Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, arrived in China to review the development of joint projects, mainly those related to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, it was announced today.

According to government sources, Dar was received in the capital by Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang, with whom he discussed the launching of new projects, attracting loans and investments to Islamabad and further ensuring the safety of Chinese personnel in joint projects in Pakistan.

Ding Xuexiang stated that China will fully support Pakistan’s cooperation in various fields such as economy, trade, and investment; he also reiterated the importance of accelerating the implementation of the Economic Corridor.

During the visit, the two sides expect construction of industrial parks agreement and free trade zones under the mega project, in which Beijing has invested more than $65 billion.
