While recalling this Wednesday in his X account, the 76 years of the Nakba (catastrophe in Arabic), the high diplomat pointed out that this event “continues to be a palpable reality”.

The Palestinian people have suffered injustice, imprisonment, assassinations, displacements and an endless genocide, which today manifests itself in a devastating way in the Gaza Strip, he stressed.

Gil remarked, however, that the “global awakening is underway and the Palestinian people are not alone in their struggle for liberation”.

He stated that during the Nakba, Israeli settlers displaced and killed thousands of Palestinians, “in an attempt to ethnically cleanse the historic nation of Palestine in order to establish the Zionist project”.

The foreign minister indicated that this plan is nothing more than another manifestation of white supremacy and Western imperialism.

“Long live free, independent and sovereign Palestine!” he stressed.
