Cuba and Venezuela to strengthen ties in all fields

Havana, May 15 (Prensa Latina) Cuba´s Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and his Venezuelan counterpart Yvan Gil expressed on Wednesday their nations' willingness to strengthen relations in all areas, and also expressed their solidarity ahead of unfair unilateral punitive measures imposed by the United States.

Today is another step towards this direction, we pose many challenges ahead, above all to continue building this alliance with concrete results in the economic and productive areas, so that our peoples can enjoy more and more security, and we can continue on this path of victory, Gil assured.

At the opening of the bilateral round, which is taking place in the capital’s El Laguito center, Gil stressed that Cuba and Venezuela are an example of a new construction, and added that this visit is aimed precisely at strengthening the path of victory we are going to have, despite all the attacks.

‘We are two peoples under attack, under siege, constantly sabotaged; but we are on the road to victory, we are sure that we are going to build it,’ the Venezuelan FM noted.

Venezuela is deeply grateful for Cuba´s contributions, its Revolution, to all aspects of the economic and social development of my country, starting with the support in health, education, science and technology, which we have enjoyed over the last 25 years, Gil underscored.

Meanwhile, Bruno Rodriguez maintained that the Bolivarian and Chavez’s Revolution and the Cuban Revolution are experiencing crucial moments amid a convulsive international and hemispheric situation, as well as the escalation of imperialist policies of domination and hegemony against the peoples of our Americas.

Likewise, Rodriguez said it is a time of opportunities in view of the historic processes of accumulation that have been taking place in the Big Homeland, in Marti’s and Bolivarian Americas.

‘We feel that this is also a special occasion to express the full support and unwavering solidarity of our people, State and Government to the Bolivarian and Chavez’s Revolution, the civil-military union of its people and the leadership of President Nicolas Maduro,’ the FM pointed out.

He expressed his gratitude for the solidarity that Cuba receives from Venezuela in all aspects, particularly in the face of the economic, commercial and financial US blockade.
