The University of the Arts hosts the event, where students of dancing, which includes Contemporary Dance, Ballet, and Folklore profiles, will participate.
These students will exhibit their academic works to socialize the research of young artists beyond the classroom.
Some initiatives are part of the concluding exercises of the students who will graduate from the University of the Arts this year; others are creations in progress or already completed, as informed by the organizing committee “Danza al Descubierto 2024”.
One of the activities of the Forum consists of interesting journalistic texts due to class exercises in which writing is the fundamental axis, the source stated.
“Danza al Descubierto” emerged to promote research among students and currently focuses on the creative processes produced at the ISA’s Dance Art Faculty.
This first edition of the scientific dance event reserves, for its opening program, a lecture by professor, researcher, and critic Noel Bonilla-Chongo, who will speak on “Danza: porfías para retenerte.”
The event pays tribute to Cuban master Fernando Alonso on his 110th birthday with the screening of the documentary film “El Maestro Entre Nosotros” (The Master Among Us), an audiovisual work in progress by “SC Producciones” of the Cuban province of Camagüey.
