The statement from the Russian presidency adds that Vladimir Putin’s trip to China will be a state visit and the first since he assumed his fifth term last May 7th.
During the Russian president’s stay in Beijing, the two heads of state will discuss in detail the entire range of issues of the comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction between both countries.
In addition, Putin and Xi will “define key areas of further development of Russian-Chinese practical cooperation,” and exchange views on current international affairs.
Following talks during the state visit of the Russian president to China, the signing of a series of bilateral documents is planned, the Kremlin announced.
Putin and Xi will also participate in a ceremony to mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries.
