The delegation was made up of Mario Yasmany Alvarez Hernández, head of the Mariel Marine Fish Culture Experimental Station, in Artemisa province, and Maylee Pozo Escobar, a microbiologist and head of the CIP Aquaculture Health Department, Cuban diplomatic sources said.
Both experts took advantage of their stay in Norway, where they fulfilled an intensive training program with the advice and support of high-level specialist and researchers from the Norwegian Institute of Marine Research.
The occasion was an excellent opportunity to review with the Norwegian counterparts the progress of the aforementioned cooperation project, including the development of the spawning center for the production of fingerlings, built at the Mariel Marine Fish Farming Experimental Station, according to the source.
