The Cuban mission, which previously visited the Basque Country and Cantabria, held working meetings at the Council of Lugo, where they were received by Mayor Paula Aravellos.
Afterwards, they held an important meeting with Provincial Council President José Tomé, with whom they talked about the future presence of Galicia at the International Fair of Havana (FIHAV) with its own stand.
The Cuban delegation also visited production centers in the agri-food sector and held bilateral meetings with companies interested in identifying potentialities.
On the second day in Galicia, a presentation took place at the EF Business School, before more than 15 Galician companies, an opportunity to update them on Cuba’s reality.
Then, a visit was made to the headquarters of the Galician Confederation of Entrepreneurs (CEG), where the delegation was briefed on the trade balance between Galicia and Cuba. A meeting with representatives of companies present in Cuba also took place.
Finally, a stop was made at the Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (IGAPE), an institution that supports the internationalization Galician companies’ efforts.
Previously, the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba held several meetings with authorities of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria, Spain.
