A statement issued by the Presidency’s Press Office pointed out that the two sides stressed the need to accelerate the implementation of agreements and understandings reached by the two countries in a way that contributes to achieving the common interests of the two sides.
They expressed their willingness to take all steps to facilitate the implementation of joint investment projects and enhance the business sector’s role in stimulating economic cooperation and trade exchange, considering the facilities and advantages provided to this sector, especially in export and import operations.
There are promising investment opportunities in several sectors in Syria, especially in tire manufacturing, milk powder, and tractors, Arnous said.
He described the relations between the two countries as strategic, deep-rooted, and constantly developing, stressing the importance of strengthening joint actions and expanding their prospects to include diverse priority areas, which contributes to facing the challenges and instability the region is witnessing.
Arnous explained that the Syrian Government is making efforts to improve the reality of the electricity sector, which is linked to all productive sectors, to start production and ensure the needs of local markets for essential goods and materials.
The Iranian ambassador, in turn, expressed his country’s desire to achieve a qualitative leap in economic relations and progress in the development of bilateral cooperation.
