The state-run ACNC news agency reported here today that the general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and chairman of the State Affairs Committee sent al-Assad a message in which he wished him further success at the head of the organization and the destinies of the Arab country.
His ratification as secretary general of the Socialist Party of Arab Revival is an expression of all the members of his party of their full support and unchanging confidence in his leadership, Kim said.
Founded on April 7, 1947, the Arab Socialist Baath Party, has ruled in Syria since March 8, 1963, and adopts socialism, freedom, and unity among Arab nations as its main slogans.
It has a long history of support for national liberation movements in underdeveloped countries and maintains excellent relations with the Workers’ Party of Korea.
