The executive secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Trade Treaty and the Peoples (ALBA-TCP), Jorge Arreaza, indicated in his account X that the proposal also requested the Security Council to incorporate the Arab State as a member of that instance.
Arreaza pointed out that the integration bloc repeatedly expressed its condemnation of the genocide committed by Israel against the people of Palestine, “demanding an immediate ceasefire and affirming the right to the existence of a sovereign Palestinian State.”
Although the rights granted by the UN General Assembly do not make Palestine a State with full rights, it did produce significant changes such as exercising the right to occupy a position among the members in alphabetical order.

The resolution was supported this Friday by 143 votes in favor, 25 abstentions and nine against and asked the Security Council to address the full membership of Palestine.
