On X, MINREX said Cuba celebrates with Uganda´s government and people the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.

Both nations promote links in different areas including health, biotechnology and others.

Past January, Cuban Vice President Salvador Valdés Mesa and his Ugandan counterpart Jessica Alupo reached a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Compensated Trade in Kampala.

That East African nation supports Cuba in all international scenarios for the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba for over 60 years.
