He also assured that ‘the Saharawi people will never give in to the invader and will continue its legitimate struggle (…) we will impose respect for the borders of SADR, a founding member of the African Union’, the president declared at a press conference in the refugee camp in the Wilaya of Auserd.
He underlined that Morocco always tries to impose agendas and conditions, but this era is over and we will not accept it’, and recalled that the Saharawi party is ready to put an end to the conflict through negotiations, without preconditions, through the application of international legitimacy.
Asked about the change of position of Spain and some European countries towards the Saharawi question, the president said that ‘there has been in recent years an inaction within the European Parliament which has not changed and it became clear with time that it was an act of bribery by Morocco of European parliamentarians to influence their positions.
On the turn of Spain’s foreign policy with regard to Western Sahara, the also Secretary General of the Polisario Front regrets that even the Spanish Parliament and parties do not know the real reason for the change of position which was at the beginning of a consensus that lasted about 40 years.

Estamos en guerra hasta la libertad, afirma presidente saharaui
Argel, 7 may (Prensa Latina) El presidente de la República Árabe Saharaui Democrática (RASD), Ibrahim Ghali, reafirmó el estado de guerra con Marruecos y aseguró que continuará hasta alcanzar sus derechos a la libertad, informó hoy una fuente oficial aquí.
Aseguró asimismo que ‘el pueblo saharaui nunca claudicará ante el invasor y continuará su lucha legítima (…) impondremos respeto a las fronteras de la RASD, miembro fundador de la Unión Africana’, declaró el mandatario en rueda de prensa en el campamento de refugiados en la Wilaya de Auserd.
Subrayó que Marruecos siempre trata de imponer agendas y condiciones, pero esta era ya pasó y no la aceptaremos’, y recordó que la parte saharaui está dispuesta a poner fin al conflicto a través de negociaciones, sin condiciones previas, mediante la aplicación de la legitimidad internacional.
Inquirido sobre el cambio de posición española y de algunos países europeos hacia la cuestión saharaui, el presidente dijo que ‘ha habido en los últimos años una inacción dentro del Parlamento Europeo que no ha cambiado y con el tiempo quedó claro que se trataba de un acto de soborno de Marruecos a parlamentarios europeos para influir en sus posiciones.
Sobre el giro de la política exterior de España con respecto al Sahara Occidental, el también Secretario General del Frente Polisario lamenta que incluso el Parlamento y los partidos españoles desconozcan la verdadera razón del cambio de posición que era al principio de un consenso que duró unos 40 años.
