“It has not been decided yet,” the advisor noted when asked about the timing of Putin’s visit to Türkiye, but stated that the Russian leader’s first trip will be to China, TASS news agency noted.
At briefing, Ushakov indicated that the exact dates of Putin’s visit to China would be announced soon.
“We and the Chinese side will officially inform the dates of the visit in the next few days,” he promised.
He also stressed that this would be the first international visit of the Russian head of state after his inauguration.
“It is, we can say, a reciprocal step to the first official visit to Russia of Chinese President Xi Jinping, which took place last year also after the respective elections,” Ushakov specified.
“On the agenda is a visit to Türkiye”, he informed, and of course it is being prepared, but the concrete dates have not yet been agreed upon, I can frankly say, the advisor continued.
He also laid special emphasis on the fact that the visit to Turkey is one of the foreign policy priorities.
“Literally, in the shortest time we will discuss the possible terms of the implementation of the invitations of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Ushakov clarified.
