The diplomat wrote on her Telegram channel that if Simonyan accused Russia of invading Ukraine, he must be strong enough now to respond to the request from Armenian parliamentarians, who will carefully study his words.
Earlier, at a conference of presidents of parliaments of the European Union, Simonyan accused Russia of “invading” Ukraine and leaving Armenia alone “at the most complex time,” which it allegedly wanted to “drag into a new war” to “save” and “cast a yoke” over its statehood.
Valentina Matviyenko, chairwoman of the Federation Council (Russia’s Upper House of Parliament), instructed senators to submit a motion in connection with Simonyan’s “Russophobic statements.”
