Skibitsky pointed out that everything will depend on reserves and supplies, even though Ukrainian forces will inevitably have to abandon the city, as they did in Avdeyevka and Artyomovsk (aka Bakhmut).
The officer also admitted that the Russian units are “a single body, with a clear plan and under a single command.”
Previously, Sergei Krivonos, a retired Ukrainian general, admitted that the Ukrainian forces deployed in Chasov Yar are in extreme situations, and lack both personnel and matériel.
Chasov Yar is one of the key logistics centers of the Ukrainian Army. In early April, the advisor to the head of Donetsk, Igor Kimakovski, revealed that Russia had seized several strategic strongholds near the town.
Kimakovski also noted that Ukrainian forces had withdrawn from some positions on the outskirts of the city.
