The event, scheduled to be held until May 5, takes place at Jardines del Rey, a destination in the central Cuban province of Ciego de Avila, and is attended by more than 670 professionals from different countries and 80 specialized journalists.
The most representative markets are Spain and Mexico, with more than 100 participants, followed by Colombia, Italy and Canada.
The meeting is also attended by the regional director for the Americas of UN Tourism, Gustavo Santos, who a few days before, in an interview with Prensa Latina, considered the Cuban travel industry as positive.
FITCuba 2024 takes place a few days before the 69th meeting of the UN Tourism Regional Commission for the Americas, to be attended by 24 tourism ministers from member countries.
