Before more than 1,100 delegates to the International Meeting in Solidarity with Cuba and against Imperialism, held at the Havana International Conference Center (HICC), the Cuban leader thanked the international support for the Cuban cause and claimed that Cuba will follow the pathway set out since January 1, 1959.
In this regard, Díaz-Canel laid stress on the significance of promoting the support movement as well as visits paid by activists, trade unionists, representatives of organizations and people in solidarity so that they may learn about the reality of Cuba and the struggles of the Cuban people.
There is no better way to know our reality than sharing with us, as you have been doing recently, living our resistance, our creativity and our spirit of struggle and victory, the Cuban president added.
Each friend who pays a visit to Cuba is further evidence that Cuba is neither alone nor isolated, and continues to open its doors to millions of women and men around the world.
