The police blocked the access road to Kirants, the civil movement said on Thursday on its Facebook account, according to a report of Armenpress news agency, which also said that the law enforcement officers only allowed the residents of Kirants to pass.
Earlier on Thursday, the Tavush regional police detained about 30 citizens who were demonstrating against the delimitation of the border with Azerbaijan and the handover of several border territories to Baku.
On April 19, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Aykhan Hajizade announced that Armenia, during the eighth meeting of the state commissions on the delimitation of the border between the two countries, agreed to return four Azerbaijani villages that had been under occupation since the 1990s.
In particular, these are the villages of Baganis Ayrum, Asagi Askipara, Heyrimli and Kizilhacili.
