The initiative of the Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with Arena Events, seeks to showcase the nation’s services and potential in this area, as well as to attract investors.
At the meeting, where local participants are exhibiting in 100 pavilions alongside representatives from South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Cape Verde, Brazil, Portugal and Spain, the Minister of State and Head of the President’s Civil Household Adão de Almeida called on Angolans to become promoters of their country.
“Everyone should feel that they are ambassadors of Angolan culture, history, wildlife, because if every tourist leaves with a good image of our hospitality, this will undoubtedly
contribute to attracting new visitors,” the authority said.
According to the Angolan Press Agency, Adão de Almeida deemed that the nation requires a bolder and more pragmatic strategy in this sector, capable of offering advantages and encouraging investors to opt for this destination.
The Minister of State stressed the importance of the leisure industry in contributing to the growth of the economy, generating employment for young people and raising foreign exchange.
