Syrian President Bashar al-Assad made that remark in a message to his Korean counterpart, Kim Jong-un, in response to another similar message sent by the DPRK leader on the 78th anniversary of Syria’s independence.

Al-Assad expressed his belief that the solid relation of friendship and cooperation based on mutual respect and understanding will be strengthened and developed shortly following the interests of the two countries and the rest of the world, KCNA reported.
