Petro’s made his statement in a speech at Plaza Bolívar in this capital, where thousands of people gathered to celebrate International Workers’ Day.

The world could be summarized in one word, perhaps all the slogans, all those colors could be summarized in a single word, which vindicates the need for life, rebellion, the raised flag and resistance, that word is called Gaza, it is called Palestine, they are the names of the girls, the boys, the babies who have been killed by bombs, the president stated.

Petro estimated that all of humanity, in the streets, in millions, supports the cause of Palestinian survival, while adding that one cannot passively watch the times of genocide, of the people’s extermination.

If Palestine dies, humanity dies, and we are not going to let it die, he stated.
