That amount resulted from the auction of the largest Diadema (type of Premium cigar) in the world (2.20 meters) and a humidor of 50 Havana Cohibas Magicos Maduros No. 5 cigars, accompanied by a bottle of Havana Club Selección de Maestros rum.
The auction took place at the end of the international event El Legado de Cueto, the culmination of several days of exchanges and tastings among cigar lovers. The meeting took place April 23-26 at the Morro-Cabaña Historic Military Park.
The cigar maker said he was extremely satisfied with the quality of the organization and the participation of delegates and admirers from China, the United States, Japan, Italy, Spain and Turkey, and reiterated his confidence that the second edition will be much better (2025).
Cueto’s Legacy is a new initiative related to Cuban premium cigars, which, in addition to the Habano Festival (February), also has on the program the Encounter of Friends and Customers of the Partagás Habano House (November).
Despite his 80 years of life, Cueto holds five Guinness World Records for the longest cigars in the world, and reiterated that he does not give up his passion for cigar rolling at La Triada store in the Morro-Cabaña Military Historical Park in Havana, where he works.
